The book of Genesis contains the seeds of every major doctrine in the Bible. The idea of a seed is central to its very message. From the first chapter, we are told of the origins of life and how each living thing was created yielding seed after its kind. This same theme echoes in the central promise of the book the promise of a seed that would one day overturn the curse of death and that would put an end to that which opposes God. In this study, we will follow this same theme of the seed as it makes its way from creation and fall, through the flood and the Babel rebellion, to the man chosen by God to bring the greatest of all blessings to the earth.
